Since I was out of town, I forgot to post these reviews. Hopefully, this didn’t affect your movie choices for the weekend.
Review in a Hurry: George Clooney stars as an aging quarterback who recruits a young star player (John Krasinski) in the early days of pro football. But the men end up rivals for the affections of a sharp-tongued reporter (Renée Zellweger). A good-natured throwback to the days of screwball comedy, the movie is at its best away from the playing field.
Review in a Hurry: The Rolling Stones and Martin Scorsese—it probably looked great on paper. Oh, sure, the concert scenes in this documentary about the Stones’ show in New York are top-of-the-line, but it’s nothing new. The die-hard fans will camp out for tickets. For everyone else, the result is likely to be a resounding “Meh.”
As always, my older reviews can be found at www.rottentomatoes.com.
